The Apaltagua Estate was founded in the late 1990s by American businessman Edward Tutunjian. During a visit to Chile on a family vacation, he fell in love with the country and its people and was captivated by its wines. Soon after his holiday visit, he purchased his first vineyard in Curicó Valley, and the family has been steadily increasing their holdings.

The family's vineyard and winery are found in the gentle foothills of the Andes Mountains in the prestigious Apalta district of the Colchagua Valley. Here, the high-altitude, granite-based soil, along with warm days and cool nights, provides the ideal conditions for growing high-quality grapes.

The Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon comes from Colchagua Valley and is sourced entirely from the estate's 60-hectare plot in Apalta. The cold and rainy winters and dry, warm summers offer ideal ripening conditions, allowing the Cabernet grown here to reach its full potential.

In your glass, this dark-garnet Cabernet Sauvignon offers aromas of strawberry and dark cherry, leading to a velvety palate of dark berry fruit and plumb. The tannins are ripe and super-soft; however, this silky Cab will easily stand up to steaks and meats from the grill.
