The brother and sister team of winemaker Arrigo and Margherita, who manages sales and exports, is the Bidoli family's current generation to manage the property. Their charming winery is in the Friuli region of northeast Italy, nestled in a lovely valley at the foot of the Alps. The family has long been famous for its Pinot Grigio, and they also produce excellent Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot.

The Bidoli vineyards in Friuli Grave stretch along the Tagliamento River between Pordenone and Udine provinces. The distinctive composition of the vineyard soil and the nearby Adriatic Sea's benevolent effect help create ideal conditions for the estate's Pinot Grigio.

You'll find zippy refreshment in the glass with notes of pear, apple, and subtle white flowers mingling with ample minerality on the clean, dry palate. The Bidoli Yellow Label is a great every-day white -- I know Hammond and I will get this one into our refrigerator rotation.
