Chateau Guiot Costieres de Nimes Tradition Crocodile GRENACHE-SYRAH - RED 22

I've always loved the reds from Mas Cornut. They exude the classic spice and garigue you'd find in the Rhône; however, they're a bit softer with a little more gloss on the fruit. I find them beautifully lifted, with just a touch of salinity, thanks to the proximity to the Med and salt marshes of Camargue.

The bright purple color in your glass leads to earthy aromas of garigue and dark berry. The tannins are present; however, they're shockingly soft! Dark berry, blueberry, coffee, and mocha notes dance together in a meaty framework that's remarkably lifted. In this 50-50 blend of Grenache and Syrah, both varietals do their jobs perfectly — the Grenache provides the supple lift, and the Syrah provides the meaty depth.

This little gem will shine alongside any grilled or pan-seared meats, and it's also an excellent red to sip by the fireplace during the cold months ahead!
