Château Saint Nabor is located on the right bank of the Rhône River in the small medieval village of Cornillon in the Cèze Valley. Winegrowers here produce wines within the Côtes du Rhône and Côtes du Rhône Villages appellations; however, many vignerons elect to use the IGP du Gard and IGP Pays d'Oc designations so they can blend non-AOC-compliant grapes into their cuvées. This estated does precisely that with the addition of Tempranillo to this outstanding Rosé.

The vineyards and winery at Château Saint Nabor represent several hundred years of winegrowing history, and the Castor family has been at the helm here for the last six generations. Patriarch Gérard Castor was recently joined by his sons, Jérémie and Raphaël, 6th generation vignerons working the family estate.

Jérémie and Raphaël Castor each earned advanced degrees in viticulture and enology and gathered additional experience during stages in wineries abroad. This wealth of valuable experience provides the perfect marriage of cutting-edge techniques and methodology to the property to the estate's rich history of tradition.

Along with the Pink Bird, Château Saint Nabor's perfect Pink thirst-quencher is one of my top French Rosé picks of the year. Aromas of red berry, strawberry, peach, and white flowers jump from the glass. The zippy freshness on the palate is balanced with just the right amount of delicate red fruit notes, all lingering nicely through the finish.

This pink-pleaser is undoubtedly a first-rate choice for the porch, pool, and patio; however, it'll be right at home with all of your casual summer fare.
