Cousiño-Macul is one of the most highly regarded wineries in Chile's Maipo Valley. Founded in 1856 by Matas Cousio and his wife, Isidora Goyenechea, today, the winery is run by the sixth generation of the Cousio family. It's the last 19th-century winery in Chile owned and managed by the original founding family.

The estate is committed to sustainable farming and a high level of environmental responsibility while creating top-quality wines. They have adopted various steps to lower their carbon footprint and protect the Maipo Valley's natural resources, such as employing renewable energy sources, saving water via dry farming, and using natural fertilizers and insect control in the vineyards.

Fruit for the Antiguas Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from 70-100-year-old vineyards, some of the family's oldest vineyard holdings. These vineyards reap tremendous benefits from the Maipo Valley's distinctive terroir and temperate microclimate, which features steady coastal breezes, warm days, and cool nights, all contributing to the rich nuance and complexity of the Antiguas Reserva Cab.

In your glass, aromas of dark cherry, blackberry, and spice greet the nose, introducing a rich, full-bodied palate brimming with black currant, cherry, and chocolate. A perfect amount of oak aging provides the smooth, velvety mouthfeel, finishing with lingering tones of chocolate, mocha, vanilla, and brown spice. Pair this gorgeous Chilean Cab with your favorite steaks, braises, and grilled lamb.
